About this role

Very first commercial GTL plant. Producing high quality, environmentally friendly GTL products. The position will sit within CP organization, report directly to Supply Chain Planning Manager. The purpose of Manage Supply Chain planning is to match Supply Chain demand and supply with the IAP. The supply chain planning covers the integrated need for procurement (goods, services and rentals), warehousing, logistics and waste for the short, medium and long term. The Supply Chain planning covers planning, scheduling, analyses and input to expediting. Embed Continuous Improvement in the Supply Chain organization to ensure timely delivery of Supply Chain needs of the company.

  • Translates business activities into demand for Supply Chain resources;
  • Integrates SC demand providing optionality (scenarios) to the business, so that the demand can be met safely, on time and at rationalized costs;
  • Manages the supply chain planning to match Supply Chain demand and supply.

Contract Support:

  • Provides advanced visibility of business demand for SC resources (contracts, materials, logistics resources, etc.) enabling CP to better leverage market (bundle demand, prepare fit for purpose specifications, market analyses, spot-buying avoidance, etc.);
  • Provide advisory support to CP Lead and Contract Holder to identify areas of MM value leakage/ improvements from MM perspective to ensure alignment of contract with Group MM strategy and practices;
  • Contribute MM expertise to Contract Management Plan and Contract/ Business Performance Review;
  • Provide detailed analyses for specific parts of the capacity plan to SC Sourcing team to allow good upfront scoping for the definition of contracting and sourcing strategies.

MSC:

  • Execution of supply chain planning, scheduling, inventory management and analyses covering the integrated need for procurement (goods, services and rentals), warehousing, logistics and waste management;
  • Creates and publishes short, medium & long term Manage Supply Chain (MSC) Plans (Capacity Plan and SC Integrated Schedule) ensuring integration of demand and optimization of usage of COMPANY resources, e.g. personnel, MHE, vehicles, etc.;
  • Delivery of MSC Functional Plan and associated budgets.

IAPS

  • Represents the Supply Chain functions in the IAPS process, including challenging the demand profile. Consolidates IAPS driven and non-IAPS activity driven demand;
  • Performs Integrated Supply Chain scheduling as a response to the Integrated Work Schedule; including the schedule optimization, highlights issues with Functional Schedulers and recommends solutions and adjustments to the Work Schedule in the Short- and Very Short Term horizon;
  • Discusses regularly with Functional Planners (Maintenance, Production Operations, Engineering, Projects) expected changes to medium and long term demand (change in technology/ phasing out of technology, turn arounds/campaigns). Perform Supply Chain demand integration, demand/capacity matching, highlight issues and recommend solutions underpinned by cost of options. Translate demand plan to capacity requirements across the entire 2 year (Medium Term horizon);
  • Works with activity owners to translate activities to Supply Chain demand. Provide challenge on demand changes which may lead to increase in end-to-end costs;
  • Monitors actual demand versus planned and actual capacity and to initiate plan adjustment and short-term interventions (including alignment of Sourcing and contracting strategies with expected medium and long-term demand);
  • Provides input to material expediting and pro-active analyses to increase first time realisation of demand.

Inventory Planning:

  • Represents the Supply Chain functions in the IAPS process, including challenging the demand profile. Consolidates IAPS driven and non-IAPS activity driven demand;

  • Discuss regularly with Supply Chain team (SC Sourcing, Supply Chain Planning and Delivery) expected changes in capabilities and capacity, including expected changes in rules and legislation;
  • Defines performance levels between Supply Chain and Assets/functions within a service level agreement (e.g. lead times for materials, transport) taking into account local circumstances like monsoon periods and logistic;
  • Review, Develop, Analyse and Report on a monthly basis Supply Chain Plan Delivery KPIs and drive improvement in utilisation through IAPs and direct engagement with Key Stakeholders. Review and track KPIs to:
  1. identify improvement opportunities and drive CI initiatives;
  2. identify issues and drive Corrective Action Plan (CAP);
  3. support and drive AMS;
  • Drive the Supply Chain Continuous Improvement (CI) and Digitalization/Simplification agenda, with the aim of efficiency gains in the Supply Chain ways of working;
  • Regularly discuss with the COMPANY Innovation team, the global MSC team and IT options to improve performance or to automate activities.

Requirements

  • Adequate knowledge and experience of Supply Chain and risk management;
  • Understand which information and aspects are key for optimising logistics, warehousing, waste and procurement (availability, costs and HSSE exposure) individually and as an end-to-end chain;
  • Able to determine what causes uncertainty in the medium and long term demand forecasts from functions/disciplines and the ability to compensate for gaps in information;
  • Able to oversee the functional planning & scheduling activities are adequately executed and challenges are timely discussed in the appropriate IAPS meetings
  • Experience with planning and scheduling (IAPS process);
  • Understand and able to apply project and change management skills;
  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders with potentially competing priorities;
  • Understands the MSC end-to-end process and key performance levers;
  • Knowledge of or experience in execution of key inventory management activities; including; planning and replenishment, forecasting and demand management, lead-time analysis and reduction etc.;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experienced in using Crystal SAP P49 is beneficial;
  • Proficient with data management, experience with IT systems and reports delivery is beneficial;
  • Able to express and visualise problems and opportunities in the process performance;
  • Able to articulate in a crisp and precise manner;
  • Able to translate strategy to outcomes;
  • Able to plan own work and work independently, take personal accountability to ensure timely delivery of commitments;
