About this role

We’re hiring a an I&E QA Inspector to join our clients team. This position will report to the QA Manager and will work the night shift.


  • Prepare and Implement Inspection Program.
  • Coordinate with Construction Contractor quality and turnover records and turnover of systems completed to the Completion and Turnover Manager.
  • Prepare and manage the Audit Program for AST2 Project.
  • Manage non-compliance issues.
  • Identify poor installations and coach contractor to correct.
  • Coordinating inspections with third party agencies if contracted by the client.
  • Monitoring Contractors for quality program compliance.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly Quality reports and participate in the Construction Meetings.




  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technologist, and/or journeyman in Electrical or Instrumentation.
  • Minimum of 8 years of construction experience, with at least 4 years of that experience in a quality management role.
  • E&I installation expertise.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specification like P&IDs, General Arrangements, Loops Drawings, Data Sheets, Wiring Diagrams.
  • Knowledge of Technical standards like CSA and Canadian Electrical Code.
  • I&E Equipment installation knowledge.
  • QA/QC knowledge for I&E discipline.
  • Punching and Turnover system knowledge.
  • Able to determine preservation program from Vendor O&M manuals.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others in a non-confrontational manner and work collaboratively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
