IT/OT Technology Lead – (Reliability) – Perth - WA (Contract)

Brunel Australasia are seeking an IT/OT Technology Lead to join our client in Perth in order to provide a roadmap and roll out of monitoring platform across IT/OT and cloud systems across the business.

As the designated Lead your role will involve liaising with technology team stakeholder for the deployment of agent across infrastructure and application to ensure that systems are management for availability and performance.

Additionally, the Technology Lead will be responsible for providing leadership and best practice for the adoption of monitoring practices across the organisation.

Leaderships skills through working at senior/management level to date will bring at least 3-5 years of team management and stakeholder relationship building.

Demonstrated experience design, implementation, and support within an enterprise monitoring suite (Dynatrace, Splunk, Elastic preferred).

Dynatrace, AppDynamics etc. including synthetic monitoring in a multi-vendor environment.

Proven experience operating in a multi-cloud environment (Azure, AWS).

Demonstrated experience in Service Reliability Engineering desirable. Mining and resources domain highly preferential.

Business service mapping to key IT infrastructure.

Demonstratable knowledge of Enterprise Monitoring Tool and Automation, preferably Dynatrace.

Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the business on Enterprise Monitoring and reliability engineering.

Develop and automation of monitoring dashboard.

Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and the “why,” and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation.

Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology.
Provide advice and guidance on the discovery of on-premises workloads, assisting the suitability for migration to enterprise monitoring platform, from existing infrastructure monitoring toolchains.

Provide guidance to teams on availability, performance and application monitoring is best suited.

Assist and provide advice to the product owner in scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment of products.

Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements.

Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners.

Ensure delivered solutions are realised in time frame committed; work in conjunction with project sponsors to size and manage scope and risk.

Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment and operations.

Act as the coach and mentor to team members and other technical staff on their assigned project tasks and adoption of the monitoring platform.

Develop a cohesive team and ensure their continued success.

Lead the definition and development of enterprise monitoring strategy and roadmap.

Conduct product work and code reviews with team members.
