Seeking a Cultural Heritage Coordinator to work in Brisbane. This will be for a contract lasting 12 months initially.
Brunel Australasia are currently partnering with one of Australia’s leading natural gas producers. They have a great reputation for creating a safety-focused culture, whilst they expand their operations in Queensland’s onshore gas reserves.

Working within the Indigenous Participation and Cultural Heritage function, this role will Administer Cultural Heritage Agreement Obligations through coordination of our upstream development process. Role will assist in the delivery of Cultural Heritage requirements in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Document control for CH UDP SharePoint including:
  • Management of Cultural Heritage Functional Mail accounts i.e. Outlook calendars requests for work programs & emails
  • Liaising with regulator to update spatial data
  • Review of GDA Applications
  • Compilation of Commencement Notices
  • Close out Approval Register
  • Sketch Approval Tracker
  • CH Look Ahead
  • Archaeological programs, reporting

Engagement with Service Providers for:

  • Resourcing (surveys & monitoring)
  • Communicating changes in schedule (also coordinators as required)
  • Coordinating Sketch Approvals for surveys
  • Coordinating Close out reports
  • Coordinating Technical Advisor requirements
  • Quality Assurance for Close Out reports

  • Responsible for reporting significant CH constraints identified in Sketch Approvals immediately to the CH Ops Lead
  • Additional work as required
  • Assist in the Development and maintaining of relevant procedures and systems
  • Assist with Ad hoc requests for archival material searches and advice on evidence
  • Manage discrete CH related projects as required
  • Site visits may be required from time to time.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in archaeology and Cultural Heritage management or related fields are desirable
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills
  • Working with land access issues, e.g. ability to interpret maps, understand tenure descriptions is mandatory;
  • Experience in the use of GIS/GPS data management equipment and software.
  • Understanding of cultural heritage regulatory frameworks.
  • Document Control/SharePoint experience
  • Understanding of on ground survey processes.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data, escalating issues where required
  • Attention to detail and able to influence wider teams.
