About this role

Brunel are seeking a Cost Controller to join a global leader in the resource sector, based in the Peel region. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that customers and Project Managers have timely access to cost reporting, forecasting and updated schedules to facilitate time-efficient project delivery.

This role, you will be expected to:

  • Maintain project costs against approved budget
  • Monitor cost trends and identify trend deviations
  • Validate invoices, progress claims and variations from contractors
  • Review time and cost implications of scope changes and trends
  • Ensure contract reports are accurate and in line with budget
  • Report on cost and schedule performance



  • Cost control experienced in high pressure, fast-paced environments
  • Proven skills and experience delivering cost control for large brownfield projects
  • Honest and ethical approach, with an ability to recognize and celebrate success
  • Highly analytical and organized with a strategic approach to problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • 12 months+ duration, expected to be extended
  • $80 per hour + super
