On behalf of our client, a High Profile Global organisation located in Dampier, Brunel are urgently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist who is available for an immediate contract.

  • Perform machining as per engineering drawing and or instruction
  • Undertake on-site training in all facets of machining as shown by Supervisor / Mentor
  • Understand all safety measures required in operation of machines
  • Comply with requirements of ISO9001, API Q1 (9th edition) and any other applicable Quality Standards
  • Be compliant to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures
  • At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct






Requirements

Requirements

  • Previous experience with the operation of CNC and manual metal working machinery in a customer focused manufacturing environment
  • Preferred experience in the Oil and Gas industry
  • An appropriate Trade Certificate and/or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • Must possess all appropriate current licences, as required by the company and where reasonably practicable, to drive and/or operate company vehicles, plant or equipment, relevant to this position
  • Physical fitness appropriate to the role
  • Professional presentation
  • Contributing team player
  • Read and understand Engineering Drawings
  • Understand operation of manual and computer controlled turning and milling equipment
  • Knowledge of CNC Machine programming
  • Understand the difference between grades of steel and their machining characteristics
  • Must have passed all subjects to become a Qualified Machinist
